Ben Tushar is currently working as an architectural designer for Jacobs after graduating with a bachelors in Architectural studies and Studio Art from the University of Pittsburgh. Constantly imagining, designing, and overseeing projects in many fields; Ben has a dynamic range of skills and experience including architectural design, construction, product design, marketing, digital media, graphic design, brand collaboration, music production, and the incorporation of art with business. ben tushar was born to jeffrey and tracy tushar in mount kisco, new york, on june 6, 1996, but he hails from nowhere in particular.  ben has lived in new york, connecticut, erie, florida, rhode island, chicago, philadelphia, and currently resides in pittsburgh.  growing up, moving exposed ben to a wide variety of people and cultures, establishing his diverse and dynamic world view.  ben's mother tracy, a yoga instructor, grant writer, and reiki master, gave ben his passion for art, history, cooking and interior design, and exposed him to many different religions, cultures, and points of view from around the world; specifically from brazil, where ben's parents lived for 4 years leading up to his birth.  ben's father jeff, an accountant, showed ben his uncompromising work ethic and his love for building; teaching him traditional carpentry as well as mechanics and automobile restoration.  ben attended high school at holy ghost preparatory school where he participated in forensics, theater, varsity sports, cooking, robotics, and the boy scouts where he attained the rank of eagle scout.  as a senior, ben established his ongoing relationship with sol republic headphones in san francisco,  showed his art at the bucks county congressional art show, won second place in printmaking at the philadelphia archdiocesan art show, as well as displayed work at the phillips mill gallery, and his work was chosen to represent the school to the public as the face of the annual art show.  ben graduated summa cum laude with a 3.8 gpa, honor roll, and recognition for excellence in art.  ben was accepted to the university of pittsburgh to study material science engineering, but after undergoing a personal tranformation, he decided to pursue his passion and talents by switching to architecture and studio art.  ben now works studying architecture and design in pittsburgh, collaborating with many influential brands such as sol republic, daily bread, studio am, and kovacs company.  ben spent the summer of 2017 interning at wd partners, a retail architecture firm, where he worked on projects from in-store displays for red bull, designing concert venues for promowest, branding and redesign for arby's drive thru, renovating target cafe's, rebranding for shane co, and many more. upon completing his education, ben plans to launch his own company to bridge the gap between the artistic community and the general public by designing a wide variety of revolutionary clothing and products and working with outside companies to improve and rethink pre-existing designs in a mutually beneficial way.
